🃏 Section Six: Play the Cards You Have

This guide isn’t going to tell you that positive thinking makes circumstances disappear.

Some people begin with money.

Some begin broke.

Some have supportive families.

Some spend adulthood recovering from theirs.

Some inherit businesses.

Some inherit debt.

These things matter.

But staring angrily at another person’s hand doesn’t improve yours.

So:

What cards are actually in your hand today?

Play those.

You don’t need the strategy for the next thirty years.

You need the wisest move available now.

Maybe that’s staying at the boring job while building something at night.

Maybe it’s getting the degree.

Maybe it’s leaving.

Maybe it’s saving.

Maybe it’s asking for help.

Maybe it’s learning the skill you’ve avoided because being a beginner bruises your ego.

Maybe today’s move is simply surviving long enough to play tomorrow.

Work with reality.

Dreams become much more powerful when they learn logistics.

đŸŽ„ You’ve Seen This Before: Forrest Gump — Forrest Gump

Forrest doesn’t spend his life obsessing over why somebody else received different cards.

He moves.

He loves.

He works.

He runs.

He loses people.

He succeeds unexpectedly.

He experiences extraordinary things without constantly demanding that life explain why they’re happening.

Forrest isn’t calculating the perfect movie.

He’s participating in it.

And perhaps that’s why we love him.

He reminds us that intelligence isn’t the only kind of wisdom.

Sometimes wisdom looks like:

Deal with what’s in front of you. Love deeply. Do the next thing. Keep going.
