Here’s where destiny gets interesting.
You may know the direction without knowing the destination.
You might think:
I want THAT job.
Perhaps pursuing it introduces you to the person who offers something better.
You might think:
This relationship has to work.
Perhaps losing it introduces you to yourself.
You might think:
My business must succeed exactly this way.
Perhaps the failed version teaches you how to build the successful one.
Be committed to your values.
Be committed to growth.
Be committed to showing up.
But be careful about becoming so attached to one ending that you reject a better story because it arrived wearing the wrong costume.
Sometimes what you wanted was real.
You were simply imagining it too small.
Leave room for surprise.
🎥 You’ve Seen This Before: Dorothy — The Wizard of Oz
Dorothy spends almost the entire story trying to reach someone she believes has the answer.
The Wizard.
Surely he can fix everything.
Meanwhile, the Scarecrow wants a brain.
The Tin Man wants a heart.
The Lion wants courage.
And through the journey, each demonstrates the very thing they believe they’re missing.
The destination mattered.
But the journey revealed the truth.
Sometimes we’re so focused on reaching the Emerald City that we don’t notice what the yellow brick road is developing inside us.
Don’t become so attached to the door that you miss who you’re becoming while walking toward it.
